Hosting the CREATE Convention 2024 in the magical surroundings of Wir bauen Zukunft was an extraordinary and truly enriching experience for us. As soon as we arrived, we could feel the special energy that permeates this place. Under the motto, CREATE – the connection of inner and outer transformation, people of all ages and from different backgrounds came together, all passionate about the common goal: to create a regenerative world. It was incredible to experience this diversity of people, all sharing the same big dream. The acronym CREATE – co-creation, regeneration, evolution, awareness, transformation and earth connection – perfectly reflected the holistic approach of the event.
Awareness and reflection in the preparation phase of the CREATE Convention
The CREATE Convention places great emphasis on transformation as a key driver for a sustainable and regenerative future. At the event, there was a strong sense of how close this topic was to the hearts of all participants. In a world that is constantly changing, we were encouraged to actively participate in and help shape this change. Transformation, as it was understood at the event, involves profound changes in ways of thinking, working methods and in our relationship with the environment.
Even in the preparatory phase of the CREATE Convention, we sensed that it was about a profound examination of what transformation really means. Each meeting began with a silent minute of mindfulness, in which we all closed our eyes and used the silence to arrive fully in the moment. This small but powerful routine was incredibly valuable because it helped us to clear our heads and focus on what was important.
After this short break, it wasn’t just about exchanging information, but also actively making sure that everyone felt comfortable. This loving care created an atmosphere of trust and connection in which we felt respected and understood. It was amazing to see how this attitude strengthened our collaboration and enabled us to grow together. After the meetings, we always recharged our batteries and left the virtual space regenerated. Such a practice of reflection and communication ran through the entire planning and implementation of the event and was a central part of the transformation process.
Inner transformation as the basis for social change
In addition to external change, CREATE also focused on inner transformation – a change that begins within each individual and forms the basis for greater social change. Throughout the talks and panels, it was emphasized that true transformation begins within. Although we have often heard that awareness, self-reflection and the willingness to continuously develop oneself are seen as essential prerequisites for successful transformation, it was only there that we really became aware of it.
The awareness workshops and sessions on personal resilience were particularly emotional for us. Journeys through our bodies and our dreams awakened such deep feelings that we all felt connected to each other. It was almost overwhelming to feel how strong this community was and how much we inspired each other. We realized how important inner transformation is for our personal well-being. If you are prepared to change yourself, you can also have a positive impact on society in the long term – and that was a knowledge that really got under our skin.
Co-creation as a tool for transformation
The CREATE Convention has shown how important co-creation is as a tool for transformative processes. The collaborative development of ideas and projects showed us how powerful transformation can be when it is created in the community. Openness to new perspectives and active participation in collaborative processes were central themes in the workshops, panels and presentations. These experiences made it clear to us that we are stronger when we work together than when we work alone, and that was really moving.
The Market of Opportunities was a particularly great experience – a lively space where each participant had the opportunity to present their passion project. This open exchange allowed us to delve deep into each other’s visions and ideas and gain new inspiration and impulses. It was incredibly nice to feel and see the enthusiasm and passion of the others.
The Market of Opportunities was more than just a presentation platform; it was a catalyst for new ideas and partnerships that extend far beyond the event. There we learned that the true strength of transformation lies in togetherness, in sharing and in growing together. Every idea, every contribution – no matter how big or small – can make a difference if it is introduced in a supportive setting.
Our clear answer: YES to the CREATE Convention
If someone were to ask us whether we would like to come back, we could only give one answer: Definitely, YES!
Everything there was wonderful, the people, the place, the themes, the atmosphere – it was just amazing. Transformation has been implemented in all areas, be it in the way meetings are organised, in the workshops or simply in the way we interact with each other. From the beginning of the event to the last day, every phase was characterised by a deep consciousness of the necessity and power of change.
Our team was particularly impressed by the countless workshops, presentations and panels that helped us to break through outdated patterns and create new connections between personal, organisational and urban development. Together, we worked towards a life-affirming way of being and working together by supporting and inspiring each other.
We are returning from the CREATE Convention with a big smile and tears in one of our eyes. Laughing because we are full of motivation to make the world a better place, crying because this great journey has unfortunately come to an end. But we take everything with us into our everyday lives and are incredibly thankful for every single moment. We leave with a stronger sense of community and a clear understanding of the necessity and possibility of transformation.
The event encouraged us to actively work on our own transformation and at the same time make a positive contribution to social change. We are convinced that transformation is the signpost for a regenerative future – a path that we will continue to tread with renewed energy and inspired by our shared experience. It was an incredibly wonderful experience that we will never forget!
